Collection: Ceramics, Clay, and Mithila Art

Mithila art is a centuries-old tradition from Nepal's southern region - Madhesh, where women have passed down intricate patterns, symbols and storytelling through generations. Today, this artistry finds new expression in hand-painted ceramics, mugs, vases and clay diyos, bringing colour and character to everyday objects.

At House of Himalayas, we're proud to partner with Danfe Works, a Nepali social enterprise that creates opportunities for women artisans through skills development, fair wages and meaningful employment. Through its Mithila by Danfe initiative, developed alongside SAATH, local artists are supported in practising their craft, exploring new designs and reaching wider markets.

Through our partnership, we bring these beautiful handmade pieces to Australian homes, celebrating both the artistic traditions of Nepal and the creativity of the women carrying them forward. Each piece is an expression of craftsmanship, made to be used, appreciated and kept.
