Collection: Pages from the Foothills

Pages from the Foothills is a collection of handcrafted journals and notebooks made for thoughts, memories and ideas worth keeping.

The collection brings together traditional Nepali lokta paper and carefully made recycled paper, each chosen for its tactile quality and natural character. Lokta paper is valued for its strength, soft texture and distinctive fibres, while the recycled paper notebooks give discarded material a thoughtful new purpose.

Some covers hold natural flower petals within the paper itself. The petals are placed by hand while the lokta pulp is still wet, becoming part of the finished sheet as it dries. Other designs carry flowing patterns that recall Nepal’s rivers, layered hills and distant mountain ridges. No two pieces feel the same.

We are proud to partner with Jamarko, a Nepali handmade paper enterprise founded by sisters Aruna Lacoul and Muna Shrestha. Since 2001, Jamarko has created paper goods using traditional craft and recycled materials, guided by environmental care and meaningful employment.

These are not pages made to be filled and forgotten. They are pages for journalling, sketching, planning, recording dreams and holding the small details of everyday life.

Handcrafted in Nepal. Made to be written in, returned to and kept.
