Warm Welcome | Housewarming Himalayan Gift Box

A thoughtful way to make a new house feel a little more like home.

The Warm Welcome Gift Box is made for new beginnings, shared cups of tea and the small rituals that help a space feel settled.

Inside are two hand-painted Mithila mugs for everyday drinks, traditional Nepali incense for bringing fragrance and warmth into the home, Melbourne Breakfast tea for an easy shared cuppa, and handmade felt coasters to brighten the table.

It is a practical housewarming gift, but still feels special. Every piece is designed to be used and enjoyed, making it perfect for couples, families, friends or anyone beginning a new chapter in a new home.

Made for

A thoughtful gift for housewarmings, first homes, new apartments, moving interstate, newlyweds, couples setting up a home and friends or family starting a new chapter.

It also makes a warm host gift when you want to give something useful, beautifully made and a little different from the usual housewarming present.

Made with meaning

Warm Welcome brings together objects made to become part of everyday life, from the mug reached for each morning to incense lit at the end of the day.

The Mithila ceramics celebrate an art tradition carried forward by women artisans of Mithila in the Southern Madhesh region in Nepal. Our incense is made through a women-led enterprise that creates employment opportunities for women while giving discarded temple flowers another purpose. The felt pieces are handcrafted through women-led partners in Nepal that train and employ women artisans.

At House of Himalayas, we are passionate about bringing high-quality handmade products from Nepal into Australian homes. We choose pieces for their craftsmanship, usefulness and lasting character, while supporting women artisans, women-led businesses and the skills behind each object.

A warm welcome for a new home, made to be used long after the boxes are unpacked.
