Feel
A light, easy mug that brings a little sunshine to the everyday. A hand-painted sun face sits at the centre, surrounded by delicate florals and leaves in soft yellow and green, finished with a hand-painted rim. It has an unhurried, sun-washed charm that feels equally at home on a busy morning or a slow weekend.
Origin
Hand-painted by Mithila artists in the Terai region of southern Nepal, this mug carries forward a centuries-old tradition of Mithila art, once painted only on the walls and floors of homes, now reimagined in everyday ceramics. Danfe Works trains and employs women from underprivileged backgrounds in the region, allowing them to bring this traditional art form to life while building skill, income, and independence. Every mug is painted freehand, so each one carries small, natural variations that make it one of a kind.
Use
A generous everyday mug for your morning coffee, afternoon tea, or a quiet moment to yourself. Equally suited to daily use or displayed on open shelving as a small piece of colour and story in the kitchen.
