Tara is one of the most revered figures in Buddhist tradition — a compassionate guardian of peace, protection, and inner strength. She is worshipped across Nepal, Tibet, and throughout the Himalayan world as a source of guidance and grace.
The Newar people of Nepal's Kathmandu Valley have been crafting sacred copper statues for over a thousand years. This is their tradition. This is their mastery. And this is one of their finest expressions of it.
This statue stands 18 inches tall, cast in copper and partly finished in gold plating. The gold highlights her serene expression and the intricate detailing of her hands, her crown, and the folds of her robes. The contrast between the warm copper and the gold finish is not decorative. It is intentional — a visual language that Newar artisans have refined across centuries of sacred craft.
At approximately 9 kilograms, she carries a presence that photographs cannot fully convey. This is a piece that commands a room.
Where she belongs
A meditation space. A home shrine. A living room corner where you want something that holds meaning without demanding attention. Tara does not need to announce herself. She simply is.
