Himalayan Floral Medallion Carpet

This carpet is hand-knotted in Nepal by women artisans from pure Himalayan highland wool — a fibre naturally denser, lanolin-rich, and more resilient than lowland wool, shaped by altitude and extreme seasonal conditions. At 120 knots per square inch, it sits at the finest end of traditional Nepali carpet making. The kind of density that takes weeks of patient, skilled work to achieve.

The floral medallion pattern at its centre is drawn from a classical Tibetan design tradition. Symmetrical, intentional, and deeply considered, a motif that has anchored ceremonial and domestic spaces across the Himalayan region for centuries. In saffron and midnight blue, it brings warmth and authority into a room without competing with it.

At 9 x 12 feet, this is a carpet sized for a proper living space. Under a dining table. Anchoring a lounge. Grounding an open-plan room that needs a centre.

It will outlast the furniture around it.

Coloured using AZO-free dyes — safe for homes with children and pets.

  • Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour depth.
  • A non-slip rug pad is recommended to protect both the carpet and your floor.
